seven members from the Pine Island Art Association on the walls plus
carvings of birds by Ken Yacavone and pottery by Suzanne Sherwin in
the cases.

The 18th Annual Children's Environmental Art Contest "Coloring the Earth" was sponsored by the Friends of the Cape Coral Library and the Cape Coral-Lee County Public Library. Below is the list of winners and their artwork. (The original drawings by the 21 winners are framed and on display in the alcove area of the Cape Coral Library art gallery through June 27.) The contest theme this year: "Let's Save the Smalltooth Sawfish!"

The Friends of the Cape Coral Library art gallery committee is excited to welcome back the Weavers of Char-Lee, whose creations have been so popular with library visitors over the years. This time a collection of recent work features weavings, spinning, collage, some lovely shawls, and other fiber art created by Char-Lee guild members. Their artwork is displayed on the walls as well as in the three cases. (Be sure to visit the Cape Coral Library at 921 SW 39th Terrace to view 70 beautiful hand-made pieces in person.)
