On July 17, 2021 President Dawn and Membership Chair Joanne were there to greet members who came to the FOCCL General Meeting. The business meeting was very informative, the program about Books We've Read was enjoyable, and it was great to see everyone again.
On May 1, 2021 at Rotary Park, Monica and Alessia posed with a beautiful cake celebrating the young winners of the Coloring the Earth art contest. (Please remember that the message on the cake is what really counts- not the way it might be spelled!) Awarded youngsters and their families also enjoyed a guided tour of the Butterfly House.
Art Contest Judges...
On
April 5, 2021, the judges for the 15th annual Coloring the Earth
Children's Environmental Art contest toured the Butterfly House at the
Rotary Park Environmental Center in Cape Coral. Contest theme was Save
the Monarchs. Cheryl Anderson, member-at-large of the Cape Coral Friends
of Wildlife and butterfly enthusiast, was happy to share information
about this wonderful venue.
We had a booth at the annual SW Florida Reading Festival on March 7, 2020. Nine busy FOCCL volunteers took shifts during the day as children used our art supplies to create 86 entries for the annual Coloring the Earth kids environmental art contest. Theme this year: Let's Save the Monarch Butterfly!"

The Jan. 25, 2020 FOCCL Membership Meeting held off-site at the SWFL Military Museum was well-attended with over 50 people coming to hear the presentation and take a tour of the museum. |
