Book Donations

Friends of the Cape Coral Library are happy to accept your donations! 

Small amounts of books may be brought to the Cape Coral Library, and we are available to pick up larger donations. Please note the following guidelines when preparing your donation:

What Kinds of Books Do We Accept?

We will accept books that are clean, current, and in good condition, including:

  - Fiction
  - Nonfiction
  - Cookbooks
  - Hardcover books
  - Trade paperbacks
  - Children’s books (in good condition)

Please Do Not Donate:

  - Textbooks
  - Diet books
  - Travel books published before 2025
  - Outdated self-improvement books
  - Books from homes where smoking occurs
  - Books from homes that have experienced flooding

Please ensure all books are clean, dry, odor-free, and free from mold, mildew, or water damage.

To schedule a pickup, please complete the form or call the hotline -239-349-2572- and leave a message. A volunteer will contact you to arrange a collection time. Pickup availability may depend upon quantity and distance.

Donations are tax-deductible, and receipts are available upon request.
